Georgetown Visitation, founded in 1799, is an all-girls high school rooted in the Roman Catholic faith and Salesian tradition, committed to educating young women from diverse backgrounds. Job Summary:

• Members of the school’s coaching staff serve under the Director of Athletics, and are responsible for daily practices and games during the fall & spring seasons

Key Responsibilities:

§  Actively supports the mission and charism of the school; demonstrates an understanding of and enthusiasm for secondary education, for all-girls education, and for Catholic education

§  Upholds the philosophy and policies of the school’s athletic program

§  Plans and implements practice plans and schedule

§  Selects students for participation

§  Works collaboratively with other members of the coaching staff and the wider athletic program

§  Serves as supervising staffer for students during all team activities, both on and off-campus

Job Requirements:

§  Experience in specified field, as a coach, participant, or administrator

§  Experience in interscholastic/collegiate athletics preferred

§  Strong organizational skills, oral communication skills, proficient in internet

Physical Requirements:

§  Ability to move around campus and into several non-ADA compliant buildings

§  Ability to safely lift and carry 25-pound loads

§  Ability to talk; ability to stand for extended periods of time

§  This position will require travel to off-campus sites for practices and competition
