Facilities - Event Logistics Associate

The school seeks an Events Logistics Associate who is warm and welcoming; has exceptional attention to detail; and can work well independently and as part of a team.

The Event Logistics Associate performs set-up, break-down, and maintenance of interior portions of the School campus.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to performing all set-up and break-down duties for all School events; Installing the floor tarp in the gym and dance studio as needed.  Works with other Buildings & Grounds staff to perform maintenance during the summer. Assists School personnel with moving furniture, boxes, or other objects. Keeps all assigned spaces in a clean, orderly, and safe condition in compliance with School standards. Logs-in and delivers common carrier deliveries. Delivers supplies, including water and paper, to all campus locations. Maintains and retains custody of all issued tools and equipment. Brings to the attention of the Director of Facilities all matters affecting operations and maintenance of property. Assists with directing parking for special events; performs Gate Attendant duties as needed. Assists in snow removal and is considered essential personnel. Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements include but are not limited to one to two years of delivery, stock room or retail experience is preferred; experience in school or non-profit setting preferred. Good organizational skills, good oral communication skills. Some early morning, evening, and weekend work is required; overtime work may be required.

Physical Requirements the ability to move around campus and into several non-ADA compliant buildings. Ability to safely lift and move loads up to 75 pounds; ability to bend, stoop, climb, and reach; ability to work on a ladder, at significant heights, and on knees for extended periods of time. Ability to talk; finger; grasp; sit for extended periods of time; and repetitive motion. Working conditions:  this position is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions other than normal weather fluctuations.
