Cubs Raise $150K for Cancer Research
Katie Bruno '25, Heidi Linnartz '25, Kate Morelli '24, Frances Taylor '25, Lauren Trifilio '24, and Claire Whitty '24 dedicated countless hours this year to raise money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Student Visionaries of the Year campaign, a seven-week philanthropic leadership program benefitting LLS’s mission of curing blood cancers.

Together, they and their teams raised more than $150,000, contributing to the more than $4 million raised by teams in the DC area.

Morelli said, "This cause matters to me because my grandfather has chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), and I also have many close friends and family members who have struggled with blood cancer. I wanted to be able to make a positive impact on the lives of those with blood cancer, so LLS was a great opportunity to do that."

Congratulations, Cubs!
