Alums Return for Career & College Day with Sophomore Class

Ten panels of Visitation graduates spoke to small groups of sophomores today for their Career & College exploration day. Alums offered advice on how their college majors applied to their jobs, experiences from Visitation that have influenced their career, what they wish they knew as a sophomore in high school, and more. Following these small group Q&As with alums of mixed careers, sophomores headed to a networking event, where they had the opportunity to follow up with alums who had been on their panels and those in career fields that interested them.

Careers ranged from law to marketing, from healthcare to environmental science, from nonprofits to the military. With more than fifty alums on panels, students had a range of Visitation graduates to speak with, which would help them shape how they might approach the college search - to be explored later in the afternoon as they toured local colleges and universities, like Georgetown University, Howard University, the George Washington University, among others.
