Abigail Torres '22 Speaks at "Encuentro" Girl Scouts Leadership Conference for Latina Girls

On February 22, Abigail Torres '22 participated in a keynote panel at the 16th Annual Leadership Conference for Latina Girls offered by the Girl Scouts Nation's Capital.

Abigail spoke alongside five other notable women in D.C.'s Latina community: Lidia Soto-Harmon, CEO GSNC; Mariela Cardona, Retired Chief of the Office of Citizenship and Applicant Information Services; Cari Dominguez, Corporate Director of Manpower Group; Maria Diaz Nagore, Diplomat at the Embassy of Mexico; and Brigid Benitez, Partner at Steptoe & Johnson and DC Bar Past President.

Abigail is a Girl Scout Senior with Troop 5390 in Springfield, VA. Since becoming a Daisy Scout at the age of five, Abigail has received many awards including the prestigious Silver Trefoil Award for outstanding commitment and investment of 100 hours of service to her community. She is currently working toward the Gold Award, the highest Girl Scouts can earn.
