11 Students Celebrate NCAA Committments
Eleven seniors have committed to play a sport beyond the Green Gate. These students were celebrated on Wednesday, April 8 with a ceremony in Nolan Center, followed by a reception for families.
Student athletes who will continue their sport in college are:
- Sofia B., Soccer, Lehigh University
- Maddie B. Soccer, Miami University (Ohio)
- Keegan C., Crew, Duke University
- Grace D., Lacrosse, Dartmouth College
- Sadie F., Volleyball, Kean University
- Ann H., Track, University of Notre Dame
- Maeve M., Lacrosse, Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University
- Addie M., Lacrosse, Bucknell University
- Charlotte M., Field Hockey, Amherst College
- Coco M. Track, Cornell University
- Kenzie R., Lacrosse, University of Notre Dame
Each student had the opportunity to take a photo on stage with their family to the walk-up song of their choice - ranging from "Girl on Fire" by Alicia Keys to "Firework" by Katy Perry. Students gave remarks to thank their friends, family, coaches, and teachers for supporting them on their journey.
