Alumnae Book Club

Please join our Alumnae Book Club in March, led by Catherine Mattingly and Laurie Collins Quirk '74. The club will discuss The Heart is a Lonely Hunter by Carson McCullers. Whether you are near or far from D.C., you can participate; come to Lalor House or connect remotely via video conference.

"In The Heart is a Lonely Hunter, you will meet five very different characters;
by book's end, you will know them far better than they know themselves. There are so many themes --economic, racial and political -- but it's 'the human heart in conflict with itself' (thank you, William Faulkner) that transcends all. And the Modern Library ranked 'Heart' number 17 on its list of the 100 greatest novels of the twentieth century."
