Georgetown Visitation is a college preparatory school rooted in the Roman Catholic faith and Salesian tradition. The school is a ministry of the Sisters of the Visitation, whose way of life expresses the spirituality of the founders of their Order, St. Francis de Sales and St. Jane de Chantal.  These saints encouraged all to “Live Jesus” with kindness, gentleness, humility, and thoughtful concern for others. These are the guiding virtues of our community.

We seek employees who are share our passion for Visitation's mission: to empower our students to meet the demands and challenges of today’s rapidly changing and morally complex world and guide our students to become self-reliant, intellectually mature, and morally responsible women of faith, vision, and purpose. As an institution, Visitation is committed to the ideal of diversity with regard to race, ethnicity, religion, economics, gender, and physical ability in its faculty and staff. We are also committed to the health and well-being of all of our community members. Please see below for our non-discrimination and vaccination policies.

Why We Love Visitation

Erin Johnston, Director of College Counseling

"I love working at Visi because of its secure sense of self. I love the old meets new. Visi has established traditions and creative ways of celebrating its rich history, and we know and live our culture and mission - at the same time, we are willing to examine ourselves, to grow, and to change. We may have been around since 1799, but we keep figuring out ways to meet the needs and people of today, all within the exceptionally empowering framework of educating women of faith, vision, and purpose."

Biz Wittschen, Religion Department Chair

"Visitation is special because of the students who approach each task with joyful optimism.  Visitation students demonstrate a desire to learn and grow, to serve others; to be women of faith and to put that faith—along with their joy, love of life, and enthusiasm—into service. They do all this with critical minds and open hearts. I feel so fortunate to be part of a community where faculty and students are committed to faith, service, and academic excellence."
