"Living Jesus has as many and varied faces as there are human hearts open to the presence of God in their lives." - Saint Francis de Sales Wonder & Excitement by McNevin Molloy Morris '98, Personal Development & P.E. Teacher
Two weeks ago my 8-year-old son, Gibb, received his First Holy Communion. The countdown had begun months before for him, as he would ask me daily, "How many more sleeps until my First Communion?" I would exhaustedly respond "72 more sleeps until your First Communion, Gibb." At last the big day arrived. The house was immaculate (a first) and we arrived early for Mass (another first). With his snappy blazer and hair slicked over, he shined like a new penny. Our family settled into our seats to await the procession of the newest communicants. Is there anything more precious than 50 second graders dutifully walking down the aisle? They're like faith-filled, well-trained, and reverent soldiers.
Live, Jesus, Live ... so live in me That all I do be done by thee. And grant that all I think and say May be thy thoughts and words today.
