Visit Us

The best way to get to know us is to visit our campus—and we'd love to get to know you better, too! There are lots of opportunities to explore our beautiful, welcoming campus in the heart of Georgetown.

Cub for a Day

We invite all interested 8th-grade students to experience Visitation through a full-day visit. Our "Cub for a Day" program provides girls with an opportunity to explore our campus, meet teachers and students, and get a taste of our classes and activities.

Our academic day runs from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Visitors should arrive for check-in at 8:30 a.m. and report to Founders Hall. Interviews will take place during their Cub visit. Visitors should wear their school uniform, if applicable, or attire appropriate for church. No jeans, please. Students will have lunch provided.

Interviews are informal and allow an Admissions Committee member to meet a prospective student, learn more about her academic and personal interests and achievements, and answer her questions about the school. A parent or guardian need not be present, as the interview is primarily an opportunity to meet with the student.

Cub for a Day registration is now open. Create your Admissions Portal account or log in to your family's Admissions Portal account to add a new student to sign up!

Transfer students may also be a Cub for a Day from February through April.

Assembly on DC Emancipation Day Honors, Remembers, and Commits to Change

On DC Emancipation Day, April 16, Georgetown Visitation hosted an all-school assembly that included remembrance, reflection, and a call to action. Students, faculty, and the Sisters of the Visitation honored the legacy of those who were once enslaved on the campus and acknowledged the institution's role in that painful history.

Nine Cubs Named All-Met by Washington Post

Nine students were named in the All-Mets announcements from The Washington Post for the winter season, including basketball, ice hockey, swimming, and track. Senior Lucy Thiessen was named Player of the Year for girls' ice hockey.

The Power of Storytelling: Diversity Day 2024

On Tuesday, March 19, Visitation celebrated its annual Diversity Day with a program focused on the power of storytelling. Several students shared personal stories, and students heard from our keynote speaker, Emmjolee Mendoza-Waters, Director of the Death Penalty Abolition Program for the Catholic Mobilizing Network. Ms. Waters elevated the stories of others and told students to "choose others" as they make decisions.

Four Visi Alums Enjoy Big Wins On the College Courts

The Washington Post notes that Georgetown Visitation is a top producer of local alums playing in the NCAA DI tournaments as March Madness kick off, highlighting "defensive whiz" Ellie Mitchell '19 (Princeton), Fadima Tall '23 (Princeton), and Simone Lewis '23 (Holy Cross). Meanwhile, Maria Alvarado '23 at NYU helped the Violets become DIII champions this year!
