Our MISSION
Georgetown Visitation, founded in 1799, is a college preparatory school rooted in the Roman Catholic faith and Salesian tradition, committed to educating young women from diverse backgrounds. We are a faith-centered community dedicated to educational excellence enriched by co-curricular and service programs.
Our mission is to empower our students to meet the demands and challenges of today’s rapidly changing and morally complex world. We guide our students to become self-reliant, intellectually mature, and morally responsible women of faith, vision, and purpose.

How could you use artificial intelligence to improve the world? This fall, Hope Dickson ‘25 and Kati Hylden Krueger ‘99, director of the St. Jane de Chantal Salesian Center, explored that question as they worked together to build a Salesian chatbot.

The Madrigals and chorus had a wonderful Christmas season performing at Visitation events and Christmas celebrations around the city, as written by Claire '25, Wicket student newspaper Profiles section editor.

Seniors Gabi Bautista and Alina Calix-Martinez were happily surprised and honored to receive the news this month that they had been matched with a college through the QuestBridge program, providing them a full four-year scholarship to two of the nation’s top colleges, covering tuition, housing, food and other expenses. Gabi will attend Washington & Lee University and Alina will attend Brown University.
