One of the things that makes Visitation so special and that our community deeply cherishes is the wealth of traditions we have amassed over our 216 years. Some of these, like Marshmallow Roast and Gold-White, are steeped in legend and date back many generations, while others are more recent additions.

The best part of my Visitation experience was Gold-White. I couldn't get the same experience anywhere else.

These annual events punctuate our school year with enthusiasm and school spirit, with reverence for the past and joyous celebration of the present moment. They showcase our students' creativity, collaboration, and leadership skills and allow each class to leave their own distinct mark. They are a major component of school life, and often form some of our students' and graduates' most treasured memories from their years here at Visitation.

Some Of Our Traditions Include:

  • Marshmallow Roast
  • Gold-White Games
  • Mother-Daughter Living Rosary
  • Father-Daughter Mass & Brunch
  • Diversity Day
  • Junior Ring Ceremony
  • Founders' Day
  • Snowball, Snowflake, and Prom
  • Class Retreats
  • Awards Night
  • Baccalaureate Mass
  • Graduation

The one thing I will remember most from my time at Visitation is winning Marshmallow Roast with my whole class, right after singing our senior class song together. After four years, this final victory was amazing!
