The John Carroll Society, which recognizes “distinguished Catholics…for their lifetime achievement, public service, outstanding leadership and commitment to the faith,” honored Head of School Dan Kerns last week during its annual awards ceremony. Dan, who has worked at Visitation since 1986, has served on several local school boards, and has also served on the National Association of Catholic Schools National Board. In addition, Dan is a Knight of Malta.

President Emerita Sr. Mary Berchmans Hannan '48 & '50 attended the awards ceremony and said, "I was more than impressed to see the long list of ways in which Dan has contributed to Catholic education. We were all very proud to be present at this event, which was quite lovely in every way. Kudos to you, Dan, our intrepid leader and many thanks for your many years of dedication to the well-being and flourishing of our school. What a great decision I made in 1986 to have you join this community!"
