Imañia Powers ’17, Tseganesh Tadele ’17, and Larisa Tomdio ’17 attended a White House event supporting school choice on May 3. Tseganesh delivered remarks, along with President Donald Trump, Vice President Mike Pence, and Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos.

Visitation received an invitation to the event through its connection to the D.C. Opportunity Scholarship Program.

“Having obtained a strong education from an all-girls school, I feel strongly about the endless possibilities that young women can achieve when given the opportunity to have an education,” said Tseganesh.

Director of Student Activities Raynetta Clay chaperoned the Visitation students.
