Student Art Show Showcases Talents, Recognizes Outstanding Works

The school's annual Student Art Show showcased paintings, photographs, drawings, and 3D art from 37 artists from all four grades. All week the students' artwork has been displayed in St. Joe's. Visual Arts Department Chair Kelli Smith and the GVPA Arts Committee organized the show, and four artists from outside Visitation judged the creative and inspirational works.

The following students were recognized with awards and prizes.

1st place: Annemarie Dougherty '18, Puzzle, $75

3rd place: Maggie Lavoie '17, Baby Got Bell, $25

Lushniak, MD, MPH, Dean of the University of Maryland School of Public Health and father of Larissa ’15 and Stephanie ’17 was the commencement speaker. Tess Daniels '17 was the student speaker.
