Graduate Profile

A graduate of Georgetown Visitation will believe in her own self-worth and will respect the dignity of all persons. Specifically, she is a young woman who:

  • Has developed a strong character and knows that her faith, informed by Catholic theology and tradition, will serve as a firm foundation as she meets the challenges of a morally complex world;
  • Believes in her potential, has acquired a foundation of knowledge on which she may build and commits herself to becoming an enthusiastic lifelong learner;
  • Is able to think independently, communicate effectively, confront ambiguity confidently and is filled with self-confidence that comes from a well-rounded education;
  • Possesses moral integrity and competence and is eager to share her talents for the betterment of society through continuing service to others;
  • Will enter the world as a leader for positive change, empowered by her belief in God and an active living of the Salesian virtues;
  • Has acquired an understanding and appreciation of cultures, religion, economic and ethnic backgrounds different from her own. In summary, the Visitation graduate values her relationships with God, self, family, and friends, and demonstrates a desire for continuous learning and service to others.
